This is a podcast about the journey to 40. In lieu of having an epic 40th birthday party, I’m embarking on a journey to learn what it means to be 40 and how to make this next decade the best one so far. Each week I will feature a guest or two to explore a new topic.

Words are powerful, but they are powerful because we give them meaning. This week, I'm having an intergenerational conversation with my Soror and friend Renea Lyles and my former student and friend Penn Davis. Subscribers to the show should know Penn from the Intro of the show; he has graciously allowed me to use his music to help frame and fuel this podcast vision. Though the title today is "words are," we will actually focus much of the discussion on one particular word and its derivative.
As always, the music for this show is from the very talented Penn Davis. Check out his Instagram Page. The official art for the show is from the very talented Michaela Perkins.
