This week, Travis sat down with Edmonton-based activist, writer, and podcaster Katie Robertson—an old friend from grade school—to talk about her life as an activist, her perspective on politics, her podcast Outside the House, and the current state of things in Alberta.

We recorded this interview back on May 26th, a few days before news broke about the children found at the Kamloops Indian Residential School, so while we do talk about issues of so-called reconciliation and Canada’s treatment of Indigenous people, we did not have that background during the conversation.
