Your favorite corner-store philosophers trying to figure out life one conundrum at a time. We are two brothers in love with thinking. Our dream is to use casual philosophy to figure out most of life's uncertainties. Delusional? Perhaps. One thing is certain: we will not arrive at this goal without engaging in meaningful discourse with others. Help us achieve this dream.

39. The Pursuit of Unhappiness | Thinkin' Bros Podcast

🧠 Thinkin’ Bros Podcast is hosted by intellectual phenomena Alex and Chris. We make psychology and philosophy accessible through informal discussions and try to find ways to use these disciplines to enhance our everyday lives.

šŸ‘‰ In the main (and only) segment, we discuss Paul Watzlawick's "The Situation Is Hopeless, but Not Serious". This book is a parody of self-help books, and is cleverly set up to inform the reader of exactly what to avoid by giving us the recipe of our own unhappiness. While the psychologist bases a lot of his knowledge on interactions with patients with mental illnesses, a lot of what he discusses happens (way too often) in the life of the average person.

šŸ¤” ā€œFigured it Outā€ rating: 9/10

P.S. Thank you to the first Thinkin' Sis, Anna, for being a guest on the show.
