Tragedy + Time = Comedy
When something terrible happens, it can be hard to find humour in it. But as time passes and we gain some distance from the event, it's often easier to see the absurdity and find the humour in it. It's not to say that tragedies shouldn't be taken seriously, but rather that humour can be a coping mechanism and a way to process difficult experiences. So the next time you're faced with a tragedy, remember that time can be a great healer and sometimes, the passage of time can turn a tragedy into something humorous. In hindsight, every tragedy becomes a source of comedy. Time really does heal all wounds. We thank God for the friends who allow us the space and the time to laugh at ourselves.
