We’re a nation that’s obsessed with celebs, and the more private they are, the more we want to know!

I’m Peta Todd and every week in Fabulous Magazine we talk to our most-loved female celebrities, whether it’s about fashion, beauty or more personal matters. Now I’m going one step further with this series of intimate and tell-all conversations.

Our families are the people that make us who we are, for better or worse, and in this show I’ve been lucky enough to talk to the mums and daughters about the relationships behind their fame.

This episode is brought to you by Fabulous Magazine and produced by Anya Pearce and Leigh Meyer. To discover more of our award winning journalism visit https://www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous/

Jorgie Porter & her Mum Julie

In this episode of Things I Told My Daughter podcast, Peta Todd meets up with actress, model and Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter and her mother Julie to talk about their incredibly close relationship. Jorgie bravely opens up about her miscarriage of quadruplets in her own words, following her exclusive interview with The Sun newspaper.

Timestamps:

00:00: Peta introduces Jorgie and Julie, and the pair chat about how close they are, and the bond they both had with Jorgie’s grandmother when they lived together as three generations of women. Julie talks about raising Jorgie as a creative, just like her.

10:00: Jorgie chats about her amazing career so far, and how dancing was her first love. Julie speaks about the lengths she went to so that Jorgie could get into ballet school. Jorgie recounts how she first got an acting agent and her audition for Hollyoaks.

16:30: Jorgie talks about how it felt to find ‘the one’ with her boyfriend Ollie Piotrowski, and the process of rekindling their relationship. She chats about the experience of being a stepmum to Ollie’s son. Julie delivers her very important judgment of Ollie!

21:00: After finding out she was pregnant, Jorgie describes the shock of discovering she was pregnant with quadruplets - a one in 700,000 chance - and the difficulties she faced with extreme hormone changes. Julie and Jorgie speak about losing Julie’s sister and Jorgie’s aunt during the pregnancy and how this affected them.

28:30: Jorgie recounts the experience of her miscarriage at three months, how she and her boyfriend felt, and the confusion of not knowing how the process would differ for quadruplets.

32:30: Peta, Jorgie and Julie reflect on how miscarriage isn’t spoken about - agreeing that families experiencing miscarriage need more support. They also speak about how difficult it is for men to speak about miscarriage and articulate their emotions.
