In this episode, my special guest is Susan Morrow Johnson. Susan is also known as The MoJo Medium. In addition to being a medium, Susan is also an author and speaker. In this episode, Susan shares with us her upbringing in the church, expressing the many ways in which it offered her comfort. This serves as a contrast to my religiously abusive upbringing. Susan discusses the importance of feeling like it is okay to ask questions and trust our personal intuition when it comes to any religious doctrine. We discuss the many different traditions and rich cultures that were present before the introduction of Christianity and how removing the idea of reincarnation from religious texts grants an external source control and authority. Susan shares her perspective of how present-day Christianity, unfortunately, often feels toxic and goes against the teachings of Christ.
