
In this week’s episode of ‘Therapy-ish, we sit down with Pflugerville-based clinical psychologist, Dr. Richard Mann, PsyD. Dr. Mann specializes in individual and family psychotherapy addressing interpersonal conflict. This episode is all about Dr. Mann’s own approach to psychotherapy, the Systematic Emotional Release Model.
From the buildup and blockages that emotional turmoil can cause in those struggling with their mental health, to the importance of cultivating a balance and reverence for our many different emotions, to the heavy influence internal family systems has in the theory’s development, Dr. Mann and Asha cover it all!
Therapy-ish was created with the mindset of removing the stigma around mental health and to help bridge the gap from the streets to the office. Our goal is to educate listeners on new ways to go about seeking help, becoming more aware of where we are, discuss therapy in traditional and non-traditional ways with expressing new ways to move forward in the world.
