In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Jennifer Noonan from Columbia International University to discuss how knowing Hebrew can enhance our understanding of the Hebrew Bible! In this conversation, Jennifer and I talk about the importance of the original languages, translation challenges, practical pedagogy, the way the Hebrew language works, poetry, wordplay, and more!

Dr. Jennifer Noonan is a professor of Old Testament at Columbia International University (CIU). She also teaches online courses for Liberty University. She completed an MA at Ashland Theological Seminary and received her PhD in Old Testament and Semitic Languages from Hebrew Union College. Dr. Noonan has made significant contributions to the field of Second Language Acquisition (SLA) for Biblical Studies including her most recent book, titled “A Handbook of Second Language Acquisition for Biblical Studies”.
