In this episode of Theology Re-Examined, I am joined by Dr. Andrew Abernethy from Wheaton College to discuss his book, "Savoring Scripture".

In this conversation, we discuss his journey from basketball to Theology, his father's NBA career, the importance of faith in Bible study, and the six steps that can help you as you study the Scriptures on your own. We ask the question, can it do harm to a believer to read the Bible without being properly trained? All of this and more in this podcast!

Andrew Abernethy is a professor of Old Testament at Wheaton College in Illinois. He obtained his masters degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity school and completed his PhD there as well. He is the author of several books, including "Eating in Isaiah", "the book of Isaiah and God's Kingdom", and his newest book, "Savoring Scripture".
