**Theology done well for young people** My name is Nathan LaValley. I've been noticing a youth crisis in my city... I suspect it spans across America. Youth often make their decisions about who God is and what he says/thinks based on feelings. We need to equip young people to make this decision from solid footing. From scripture and logic. When an entire belief system is built on what “feels“ right it’s like building a castle on a trampoline. This project is all about the pursuit of genuine truth. Join in as we build an entire youth systematic theology from the ground up!

Are All Sins the Same? - The Gospel of Christ

In this episode, we discuss the gospel of Christ in a way you may have never heard before. We're going to answer several huge questions: How can God send someone to hell for doing one bad thing? How can God send a good person to hell just because they chose to not believe in him? Why did Jesus have to live a perfect life? Why did Jesus have to die to save us? Couldn't God have just said "everyone is forgiven"? Why did God give the law?

---

Here's the scriptures we're going to look at:

---

The problem of unrighteousness

jm 2.10

10 Whoever keeps the whole law but stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

mt 5.17 mt 5.18

17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.

18 For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

rom 3.10rom 3.11rom 3.12

As it is written:

“There is no one righteous,

not even one.

11 There is no one who understands,

no one who seeks God.

12 All have turned away,

they have together become worthless;

there is no one who does good,

not even one.”

rom 3.23

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

rom 6.23

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

---

Jesus brings righteousness to everyone who believes.

rom 10.4

4 For Christ is the end of the law, to bring righteousness to everyone who believes.

rom 3.29rom 3.30rom 3.31

29 Is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,

30 since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith.

31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Certainly not! Instead, we uphold the law.

gal 2.16

16 know that a man is not justified by works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

rom 5.1

5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

1 co 6.11

11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
