We have been blessed, to be put into a world where everything was fine tuned, structured to a T. Scriptures says that before God created all that is now, there was no form - “wild & waste / chaos” - it was a dark place.
However, though we drew away, God still deemed it necessary that he would never harm the earth again for our sake. He says
““While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.””

Growing up, I never quite understood Palm Sunday, Lent or Pentecost, as with several of the religious celebrations that we had. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the festivities that came with it but missed out on the reason for the season.
However as I have grown, I have come to see just how important it is to understand why we gather - or should I say who we gather for especially when it comes to Easter and the period before it. It’s a sacred observation but one that should move from being a thing we are mindful of for a few days unto something that transcends counting down.

This invokes in me such an emotion, especially the last verse. The psalmist calls forth for a praise that transcends the heavens and earth; a musical praise but the question is, how do you truly praise if you do not know what it means?

As humans, we are drawn to similarities. People who operate on a similar level or “vibe” as us. It’s hard to relate with what you don’t understand or relate to and indeed that is the easiest way out.

For years on end, the people of Israel and Jewish men of all walks of life have been called into prayer in the moving words of the SHEMA -

Learning to call on the name of a parent is one of the first things we do as babies, out of our mouths we call Mama or Dada. Most babies are guided on in order to say this and It’s the most beautiful thing to witness or hear.
