In this special episode, Rodney is joined by two brilliant young people -- Keme and Didi. Together, they explored small talk and its importance in social interactions. Keme doesn't care for small talk. Didi hates small talk. Rodney values small talk. Each speaker brings a different perspective on small talk and the role it plays in their lives. They explored what counts as small talk and 'big' talk, the pros and cons of small talk, and the skill that goes into being an effective small talker.
The conversation began with a question: "Is it a necessary skill in building relationships, or is it unnecessary and annoying?" In the end, they each arrived at an understanding about the best way to utilize small talk in everyday life.
