Yale Campus Update: Art Exhibits, Football Highlights, Events & Weather for October 27–November 3
Hey Handsome Dan, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for October 27 through November 3. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—the "Plants on Paper: Artists' Engagement with the Green World" exhibition wraps up this Sunday, November 2, at the Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library. If you haven't seen it yet, this is your last chance to explore how artists interpret plant life. Next, the Yale Bulldogs football team is hosting Columbia this Saturday, November 1, at noon for Heroes Day and Boola's Buddies Kids Club. It's a great opportunity to support our team and honor local heroes. Finally, the "Criticism in the New Commons" conference kicks off this Thursday, October 30, at 6:30 p.m. at the Yale School of Architecture. Engage with discussions on contemporary criticism in public spaces. This past Saturday, the Bulldogs dominated Penn with a 35-13 victory at the Yale Bowl. Running back Josh Pitsenberger was on fire, racking up 539 rushing yards this season. Looking ahead, we've got a home game against Columbia this Saturday at noon. Let's pack the stands and keep the momentum going! On Monday, October 27, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., join the Pumpkin Carving Workshop hosted by the Office of International Students & Scholars. It's a fun way to get into the Halloween spirit and meet fellow students. Also, don't miss the "Indigenous Voices on Climate" event on Tuesday, October 28, at 6:00 p.m., where indigenous leaders will share their perspectives on climate change. And for a dining tip—check out the food trucks on Science Hill this week; the fall specials are a must-try! This week in New Haven, expect a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures ranging from the mid-50s to low 60s. Thursday brings strong winds and periods of rain, so be prepared for possible ponding on streets and highways. Pack an umbrella and plan for extra travel time. Your move: Attend the "Criticism in the New Commons" conference starting this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Yale School of Architecture. Engage with thought-provoking discussions and expand your horizons. That's your quick Campus Update. I'm Jenny—catch you next Monday morning. Tap follow on your podcast app so you never miss a beat.
