We discuss our studio toilet. Yvonne and Dan start to find their groove. We dive deeper into some NZ things that confuse Dan as well as some headlines in the news. Yvonne pulls Dan deep deep into some wine geek stuff. Dan talks about 'purple drank'.
The Y & D Podcast is the result of a meeting of the microphones for American ex-pat Daniel Brennan, a winemaker and experienced podcaster, and Yvonne Lorkin; a New Zealand wine writer and completely inexperienced podcaster. Dan is the owner of Decibel Wines and Yvonne is the co-founder of WineFriend, a personalised wine subscription service. They both live in Hastings and are proud Hawkesbayliens. They both have past lives in the music and hospitality industries and they share the same side-eye attitude to lots of things, things like wine, social media and the news; plus they love a good conflab. So having a stab at podcasting to thrash a few things out seemed like a snazzy idea.
