In this episode, artist Galina Nistor shares how and why she was born into a world of expectations. She was born and raised in Moldova during the regime of the former USSR.

From a young age, Galina questioned the restrictions placed upon her by family and society. She would wonder why she had to follow external expectations that did not align with her internal world. She desired to be free from the rules. The talented artist longed for the freedom to be herself and explore beyond the confines of her society.

Now at 48 and living in Australia, she appears to be free. But did she ever truly escape the expectations, or as Galina puts it, “invisible contracts,” that were instilled in her at a young age? Did questioning expectations truly set her free?
