In this week’s episode, Lamya chats with Siraad Dirshe, a content strategist and video producer whose work has appeared in The New York Times, Elle, Refinery29, and many others. She is deeply passionate about sharing and amplifying the often overlooked and dismissed stories of Black folks, particularly our contributions to sports, like surfing, and movements such as sustainability. Siraad is the 2021 recipient of the No Man's Land Film Festival Pitchfest Grant, awarded to a Black filmmaker amplifying the voices of their community.
Lamya and Siraad discuss making the move to the West Coast, driving in Los Angeles, creating and sharing black stories, the process of becoming a visionary storyteller, and much more!
