For centuries man has been obsessed for living forever. What is eternal life? How do I get it? Who has it? Eternal life is a perpetual life that goes on and on, with no end. It's not associated with "years" at all, as it's independent of time. The quest to live forever, or achieving immortality, a characteristic that belongs to God. Romans 6:23 KJV For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Wages indicate I have earned, that I am working for death through rejecting the gift to live in sin, but praise God, in His mercy through Jesus a special gift(eternal life) waiting for me, not because of who I am, but because of who He is. Eternal life is just that - eternal. It means "forever".
