Jennifer is an Integrative Breathing Therapist, yoga instructor, and is studying to become a certified yoga therapist. Jennifer brings together the traditions of yoga, the science of breath and body, and the understandings of the nervous system & trauma, to help people move, breathe, and live more present and connected lives. Jennifer is extremely experienced and had an extensive list of education/training/certifications. (click here) to take a look at everything she has accomplished.
When I first met Jennifer, in 2019 during my yoga teacher training program, she was introduced as a Buteyko breathing therapist. Since then, Jennifer has continued to broaden her understanding of breath through Dr. Rosalba Courtney's Integrative Breathing Therapy program. Whereas, Buteyko breathing focuses on the biochemistry of breath, Integrative Breathing Therapy, takes a broader perspective to functional breathing. This approach encompasses the biomechanics and psychophysiological aspects of breathing, in addition to the biochemical aspect.
This conversation is jam-packed with so much information to help you better understand something you do without thinking approximately 22,000 times a day, that is, breathing. I hope you enjoy this episode!
I mentioned that I will be hosting a Better Breath Seminar March 5th, so stay tuned for more info regarding that, I hope to see you there!
