This podcast is about spiritual abuse— an abuse of power that is often physical in nature, but always rooted in psychological violence of a perpetrator against his victim. We explore the topic of abuse in general, including the harrowing reality of trauma. With the vision of advocacy for past and future victims, we cover Christian leaders and their alleged victims.

Three: Jim Jones vs. Modern Day "Prophets" with Luke Geraty
Before the Jonestown Massacre in 1978, Jim Jones was a charismatic Christian pastor for decades. He displayed fervent devotion to Jesus Christ and the Christian church. He advocated for the poor, was considered a modern-day prophet, and developed a reputation as a gifted preacher. Over time, his ministry developed media attention for controversial teachings and reports of spiritual abuse, culminating in the Jonestown Massacre on November 18, 1978.
This fourth episode of The Wolves chronicles the trajectory of perpetrators of spiritual abuse, a pastor named Alan Scott, and the reality of the eventual exposure of perpetrators of cult-like teaching and manipulation with Vineyard pastor Luke Geraty.
