Please join Jacob for this weeks episode as he brings on author and shinning light parent, Dolores Cruz. Dolores will share her journey of grief, belief and knowing of her connection with her son. She will share powerful stories and symbols that she has come across since his transition.
Dolores Cruz is the author of two books. Her first one—Look Around: A Mother’s Journey from Grief and Despair to Healing and Hope—tells about her grief journey as well as her spiritual journey after the sudden death of her 24-year-old son, Eric. Her most recent book, A Bird Called Wisdom: Poems on Grief, Transformation, and Renewal, is a poetic expression of this same journey. As a freelance writer she has also published articles on the theme of grief.
Dolores is a certified grief specialist through David Kessler’s Grief Educator Certification Training. She continues to honor Eric by volunteering as an Affiliate Leader and Caring Listener with the international support organization for parents of children who have passed away, Helping Parents Heal. The Cruz Family also provides a music scholarship in Eric’s name at Neighborhood Music School in Los Angeles.
