Author, poet, teacher and musician Joe Williams entered into inquiry with Rosa and Daniela to explore his question: what is the relationship between the human body and writing something new?
Joe teaches intuitive writing using a deeply moving and transformational approach that is predicated on connecting with yourself, the world and others to create raw and revealing writing.
The only guide we had for this conversation was the starter question, and an inquiry-based dialogical approach to explore philosophical threads and themes.
In this episode, the question leads us to discussions about, among other things, the body both as a feeling (emotions) thing but also in terms of movement in relation to the creative process. We consider the importance of the relationship between abstract thinking and feeling into the body in relation to those abstract concepts - how do they affect each other’s development? We touch on AI, and think about the question of creativity without a biological body, and the implications for human creativity. As philosophical dialogues usually go, we sit together in discomfort while exploring the depths of that discomfort in relation to development of the thought through dialogue.
The Wisdom Collective is an educational non-profit that helps anyone develop philosophical skills of inquiry through dialogue and creative activities.
