The presence of Wild Horses on the landscape is synonymous with all we hold dear; strength, family, perseverance and most of all freedom. The sound of thousands of hoofbeats once thundered across the land, from the Great Plains to the rugged, untamed Foothills of the Rocky Mountains. They helped settle this land, build cities, towns, and a thriving country.  Now they need our help. There are less than 1500 Alberta Mountain horses, also known as Wildies, left on the eastern slopes of the Rockies. This podcast aims to shine a light on their plight and be the voice for these majestic wild horses.
