In this chat, we speak to Jordan Dean, Duncan Mcleod & Dan Flanders, the team behind the award-winning short film, Dead Air. Dead Air took one of our most prized awards, the Best East Midlands Short Film, and we were thrilled to be able to speak to them. Their film journey is actually quite different from ones that have frequently come before on the podcast. Surprisingly, narrative filmmaking has not always been a priority for two-thirds of the team, as for a couple of the guys it is actually quite a new idea. Instead, their main focus is corporate filmmakers which they have been very successful at through their company, Crosscut Media.

This episode explains why the team decided to make a narrative film and the decisions that were taken in order to produce it to an award-winning standard. A crucial listen for anyone in a corporate environment but want to branch out into narrative.
