How did the royal marriage in 1572 turned out to be a disaster?

In this episode of the Weirdest Parts of History, Kevin Trinh explores the disastrous marriage between Henry of Navarre (eventually Henry IV of France) and Margaret of Valois. He explores what builds up to that point, how did it go, and how does it almost destroy France? There will be a lot of tension between all sides of the French Wars of Religion involved. The French Royal family plans this marriage to ensure peace between the two hostile Christian denominations. However, as you read it, it failed. Why does this marriage turn into violence?
