Apple’s highly anticipated mixed reality headset has a name, according to a Bloomberg report earlier this week. The outlet spotted trademarks filed by Apple-affiliated firms for names like “Reality One,” “Reality Pro” and “Reality Processor” these were filed by a supposed shell corporation with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Nvidia pushes for a protocol called ‘Universal Scene Description’ to be the foundation for the Metaverse,the basis forinteroperable content and experiences in the metaverse. The metaverse is a catchall for any multi-user application and currently, people using different applications cannot be connected. Nvidia wants USD to be the “HTML of the metaverse” so that people using different applications can still interact with each other.
Meta Platforms Inc signed an agreement with Qualcomm Inc to produce custom chipsets for its Quest devices. Both companies will work together to produce the VR chips, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platforms, which highlights Meta’s dependency on Qualcomm’s chip technology.
