14 - Returning to Myself: Introspection as a Prerequisite for a Relationship with Hashem
Approaching avodat Hashem, 'service' of Hashem, often focuses primarily on, well...Hashem. However, that skips over a fundamental piece in the equation - the person involved in that avoda. Rav Kook articulates beautifully how looking into myself is in-and-of-itself, the very first, and most fundamental stage in the process of nurturing my relationship with Hashem. The self-awareness I "bring to the table" when relating to, questioning, learning from, listening to, speaking to --- Hashem, provides me with a clarity that enhances all the aspects of my connection with Hashem.
14 - Returning to Myself: Introspection as a Prerequisite for a Relationship with Hashem
Introduction and general statement:
Expanding the concept to beyond the indiviudal
Returning to Hashem, and skipping over the introspection
Mashiach
