Freak is a surprisingly minor villain created during the Brand New Day era of the Amazing Spider-Man comics. A terrifying foe to behold, Freak's greatest abilities come upon him in defeat: when he would be killed, he enters a cocoon and comes back, changed in appearance and immune to whatever felled him. While he only had a few encounters with Spider-Man long ago, his character design, power set, and disregard for anything left a strong impression with some Spider-Fans.
