This past week, there was plenty of severe weather: strong thunderstorms turned into violent supercells, many spawned tornadoes, large hail stones, and gusty winds. The plains, southeast, and mid-Atlantic all experienced this connected system of strong, severe weather and storms; but what led to this, and did we know it was coming?
