Episode 41 is here, and you know there is never a 42 in life. It's been an epic ride and you listeners and subscribers have made this podcast exceed numbers and reach far beyond my expectations when I sat down in March, but now it's time to say goodbye. Dark forces, time, expiry dates, things from Left Field, and the Universe have compelled me to say: "Arrivederci cari amici, finché non ci rivedremo"
Even at this writing we do not have explained how 100's of 1000's of votes in the US election in five states had no down ballot votes other than the Presidential column, and the clarity of choice and honesty and integrity of electioneering in America is in the shadows. The WuFlu has not one, but TWO vaccines, and unless you've read to page 132 on the instructions and contraindications you might think it's a pure miracle. It could be... but don't celebrate and have sex for a month after your injection... My Nostradamus-esque nous will continue to baffle and terrify you with my Top Ten Predictions for the Decade. I hate Musicals and I'm gonna let you finish, but I have to share why LA LA LAND and MOULIN ROUGE are the two films I loathe the most. (But love other work from the same directors...to be fair!) I love Japanese food and fashion and people. I love Italian food and fashion and people. But the world of Italians must rise up and get rid of their two biggest disgraceful embarrassments to humanity: The Governor of NY State and the Mayor of NYC. We go to our Man in Amsterdam for hot clothing, head nearby for a lemony tart, and go back to Italy for the best shoes, always. If you want to keep your freedoms in democracies like the UK, Australia and America, and some of our allied friends, we're going to have to fight for our rights...and not just to party.
It's been a long and winding road, but everything...and everyone...has an expiry date. I'm sad to say goodbye, but in this case I have to turn off the lights in order to stay out of the darkness.
