Proverbs 25:2

“It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.”

The Hebrew word for “conceal” is sāṯar, which means to hide, keep secret. And the word for “search out” is ḥāqar, meaning to explore, examine intimately.

God doesn’t hide things from us, He hides them for us, like a Father preparing a treasure hunt for His sons.

Colossians 2:2-3

“so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

The Greek word for “mystery” is mystērion, not something unknowable, but something revealed in intimacy. Mystērion is not solved by revelation alone but by relationship. Revelation is invitation not an impartation. God unveils mystery to those who walk with Him.

Psalm 32:8

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” This implies closeness. You can only follow someone’s eye if you’re in their presence. God’s guidance is an unfolding, not a downloaded map.
