DDD: Real Freedom: Escape Condemnation Through Forgiveness and Christ
A Devotion for your drive into work:   Is the fruit of your faith measured by willingness to forgive from the heart—or does bitterness and resentment keep you chained to condemnation, both now and for eternity? Paul’s discussion in Romans 3 is amplified with a teaching from Matthew 18 about unforgiveness: the condemned slave refuses to forgive, and is handed over for torture—not only speaking of eternal judgment (the “lake of fire”) but also the emotional and spiritual consequences of bitterness here and now. True salvation is marked by heart-level repentance and ongoing forgiveness. Those who cling to resentment and reject Christ’s mercy will face final condemnation, while those who receive Jesus and walk in daily forgiveness are set free to advance healing and biblical values in every sphere of life. The closing prayer invites God’s mercy, the cleansing of all bitterness, and restoration for those who trust in Christ and let go of condemnation today. We are transforming our hearts so we can shape the public square.
