Michael, unaware of the abortion until afterward, described the moment as one where "everything went silent," reflecting the deep emotional impact. Their healing came through their relationship with God, never blaming each other but taking shared responsibility. This experience fueled their passion for the pro-life movement, with Tara now serving as the Capitol Region Director for Louisiana Right to Life, advocating to ensure young women understand the consequences of abortion.

Trinity, inspired by her parents’ story, became a pro-life advocate after attending summits and camps, eventually taking on leadership roles with Louisiana Black Advocates for Life and Louisiana Family Forum. She shared how her mother’s openness about their past gave her the courage to empower youth to be bold leaders in their communities. Trinity emphasized the value of family support, describing her family as "enmeshed" and a vital support system, which she encourages others to foster.
