Alice Cooper (Billion Dollar Babies)

Who Wants to be a Billionaire today?

Whoever answers an emphatic no to that rather probing and yet stranger than strange question does not not know of the heart of the incredible and evocative theatrical artform  that is Alice Cooper. To release an album at the peak of your still highly evolving career that embodies the sleeve in luminous green snake skin and sported within a full on 1 Billion Dollar bill with President Alice as it's moniker was truly a ground breaking human experience.

Alice was  a master showman and his penchant for the Vaudeville and Ringmaster antics of his theatrical performances were best embodied in the tours that showcased both, "Schools Out" and "Billion Dollar Babies". Both albums mirrored a time in the Zeitgeist that defied convention and unleashed a subterranean Gothic movement that permeated the culture for the decade ahead. This album covered all the bases and ticked every box. It was unique, fresh, de stereotyped and off the charts and this 4th album in the bands illustrious career was the shining beacon that epitomized the Bohemian mind set and dare to be different attitude of the 70's.

Alice Cooper and his some 15 album discography from 1964 to the present day is an old horse you can continue to flog in the most abrasive "Sex Pistol" style manner and he still won't shear off his mortal coil and die.... that's what makes him such a tireless proponent of the Rock N Roll disgrace generation....and we just love it! Tune in at 6.00pm Friday's and Saturdays on Megazine Radio for the full LIVE show.....
