Brianna Dehn is both physically and mentally strong. Brianna had to deal with a lot of problems as a child. She watched her mother struggle with Mental Health and her brother grapple with his disability; it all got to be too much. Brianna herself experienced a severe accident where in her words, she should not have survived but felt her grandmother's embrace when the accident occurred. Having survived the crash, which should have left her paralysed and months of therapy, Brianna could walk and do much more. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, says a proverb.
Brianna believed she survived that terrible accident to help others who have faced similar experiences and is working with a business coach. She has been working on understanding her calling, as she desires to help women. Brianna believes doing so will help her create the life she wants; she also wants to spend more time with her family. Brianna wants to help new podcasters get started quickly. To enable them to do so, Brianna has designed a course which makes it easier for them to start telling their stories.
Brianna and Verna are having a conversation. Brianna Dehn will tell you about how she got where she is today. You'll find out what your superpower is and use it to win.
It is vital to be both physically and mentally strong. Hear how Brianna chooses to keep going despite uncertainty and significant challenges in life.

How are you going to survive your most painful childhood?
We've all had our fair share of difficulties, but our experiences have all been unique. Bobbi Parish, my guest today, is an author and the founder of the International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaching. This talk is about how to get through hard times, heal from trauma, and build a spiritual life that supports your beliefs.
Bobbi Parish grew up in a home where her mother gave her father as a sexual partner because she didn't want to be with him. So for eight years, she stood in as his wife. She had mental health problems for many years, went in and out of psychiatric wards, was homeless and disabled, and her family disowned her. There was also a lot of religious pain.
Bobbi went to graduate school to become a counsellor but was told she had nothing to offer in counselling. Nevertheless, Bobbi did not allow the negative attitude of a lecturer to put her on purpose.
In 1999, Bobbi wrote a book about how to make your sacred text help your spiritual life, which paved the way for her to offer something different for trauma survivors. In 2017 she started the International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaching and taught others who had been through trauma how to become Certified Trauma Recovery Coaches. Today, Bobbi and her team have trained more than 500 coaches who they hope will help other people who have been through trauma build lives they love.
Bobbi's story shows us that we should never allow anyone to stop us from pursuing our purpose. Stay on course and follow your dreams because only you can tell of your experiences to help someone else.

Did you know that the EFT can help you overcome stress and enjoy greater emotional freedom?
This latest episode of Verna Haywood, with brave soul Ann Hince. A little background of Ann. When she was 19, she woke up to find her mother dead in our bathroom, face down. Twenty years later, the tears from that trauma were still just below the surface. She believes that We tell ourselves we shouldn't feel what we feel because we believe what society tells us to be true. She has learned that the secret to happiness lies in discovering and accepting one's truth or feelings. Ann has trained her mind to the point where she can feel what's happening inside her body and release physical tension stored in her connective tissue. She has x-rays that show how this inner work has changed her body, such as how the alignment of her eye sockets has changed, her neck is now straight, her lower jaw is now in the middle, and her tooth roots are growing. At 55, she has also grown half an inch.
Ann wants us all to know that we have this incredible power inside us; we need to take practices we may already be doing to the next level.

How Yoga helps you to heal yourself from trauma recovery?
In this recent episode of Verna’s, together with Anissa Hudak! We'll hear from Anissa Hudak today about how Yoga Therapy can help with trauma recovery and how it differs from other approaches. I would also appreciate it if she shed some light on why she thinks the root of our problems is in our muscles and bone.

She volunteered at Fort Riley's Warrior Transition Battalion for three years, offering yoga, meditation, and other holistic treatments to soldiers, family members, and employees. After observing others struggle and experiencing trauma/PTSD. She created Trauma Healing Yoga Therapy. As the inventor of the Trauma Healing Yoga Therapy Program, Anissa guides individuals in using effective, science-based yoga therapy and other holistic practices for the management/healing of PTSD and trauma symptoms.

How important is being part of a sisterhood and brotherhood for you? How important to have community support?
Most of us want to be seen and heard, but most fail to interact with our sisters and brothers. Verna got a chance to interview Tambry Harris for a second time to talk about how sisterhood works and the significance of this to women who want to fulfil in life.
In this episode, Verna had the second chance to interview Tambry Harris, the founder of Going Forward Survivors to Thrivers, an organization that helps survivors heal through their traumas. Harris lived many years in survivor mode until she found the freedom she wanted for herself and others. She, too, was molested and sexually abused as a young person. Tambry went into an abusive marriage and had to walk away from that. She helps others claim their best identities and serves as a Spiritual Director and leadership/life coach. Her skills allow clients to embrace their intrinsic character, break down personal barriers, and achieve their deepest goals. Her 20 years of counselling and eight years of spiritual direction inform her work with Going Forward: Survivors to Thrivers (GFS2T). Tambry's Master's in Applied Psychology and Coaching, spiritual direction, change management, and diversity. She helps survivors examine limitations. No, you don't because staying in that friendship or that relationship, you're dying. You're dying inwardly. You're dying outwardly. You just die, you're perishing or because you wanna save face or because you want to belong again that belonging that wanted to be loved, there comes a time when you have to think, now I need to step away” -Verna Haywood

In the first book of Genesis 1:26, God gave man dominion over the earth and every creeping that creepeth on the ground, the birds of the air and fishes in the sea.
The description in Genesis 1:26 has been misinterpreted by men of the cloth to make women feel inferior to men. However, it has never been God's intention when he placed man in a deep sleep, took a rib of his side, and created him a helpmeet. When the man awoke from his deep sleep and the woman was presented to him, Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called woman because she was taken out of Man Genesis 2:23.
It bleeds my heart to know that some men do not see women as equals. They seem to think it is their right to beat and kill women. My body ached when I heard that six women in one week in Milwaukee county in the United States were shot in some cases by their husbands and ex-partners. The murder of women has to stop.
Twenty-five years ago, I walked away from an abusive relationship to give myself the greatest gift that is the gift of "life." I thought it wasn't a pleasant situation to be in then! Never in my wildest dream did I think it would develop into an epidemic.
According to the United Nations, the worst place for a woman is in her home. One hundred and 137 worldwide are killed by someone they know. The United Nations further states every 15 minutes. A woman is being murdered in their home. The home should be her castle; now, if a woman can't be safe in their home, where can they feel safe? Life is precious; every life is essential. We all have to come together and stop this epidemic.
According to an article in The Guardian written by Julie Bindel titled A war on women is raging in the UK- the femicide statistics prove it. Based on a census, the report states that 139 women died in the UK. When I consider the statistic released by the UN and the Census conducted in the UK, it tells me the number of women losing their lives worldwide is much higher than stated.

Words have power beyond expression; they define what a person wants to express. Words express insights, ideas and emotions. It can change the course of life when spoken wisely without causing hurt.
Words that can build up or destroy How can we use the power of words in an encouraging and uplifting way? Words can tear down, so why not use your words as an organic compound for growth and nutrition for those who hear them? Words are seeds; they are the food we can use that make people feel good and be sincere in complimenting people and not with insincere flattery. Proverbs 16:24 tells us, "Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body."
We can use words to encourage others when they are going through difficult times; it would enable them to endure.
1Thessalonians 4:18 "Therefore encourage one another with these words."
1 Timothy 6:3-4 tells us we should not be puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. It is good to have an unhealthy craving for controversy and quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, and evil suspicions.
Matthew 12:36 For by your words you will be justified.
Proverbs 18:8 "The words of a whisper are like delicious morsels: they go down into the inner parts of the body."
John 5:24 "If they hear His word and believe them, that person "does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life."
