
Mark Schultz is an American former freestyle wrestler, mixed martial artist, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. Schultz rose to fame as one of the most dominant wrestlers of the 1980s, winning the gold medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics in the 220-pound weight class and multiple World Championship titles. He also claimed four NCAA titles while competing for the University of Oklahoma.
Schultz expanded his combat sports career by competing in mixed martial arts, notably facing Garry Goodridge at UFC 12 in 1997. He is also a 4th-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under the legendary Pedro Sauer, highlighting his extensive grappling skills beyond wrestling.
