In 1992, Comedian Mark Curry realized the dream by making a TV show about a man, Mr. Cooper, who almost realizes the dream of being an NBA star only to become a substitute teacher.
Mr. Cooper charismatically graces the screen helping the troubled youth of Oakland realize their potential and attempts to leave the world a better place than when he found it. Pure TGIF material.
