Welcome to The Tune'd In Podcast!!!!! (Formerly Known as Dussé & Backwoods) I'm your host TUNDEEEEEE!! Aka Chocolate Papí aka TunGotJokes Twitter/IG/TikTok: @Tungotjokes Special Guest: M. Dot On this episode of T.I.P, we sit down with a multi-talented California native who wears a multitude of creative hats, by the name of "M.Dot". M.Dot is a Los Angeles native byway of Pasadena, and he is a Magazine Owner, Creative Director, Fashion Designer as well as a plethora of other titles. We first start our conversation with M. Dot; whose real name is Marcus, telling us how things were for him growing up in Pasadena and how he found his creative spark early due to his family and hip hop culture which was a major influence in him knowing what he wanted to do with his life. We then go on to talk about how he started his creative journey as a rapper and producer, Which lead to creatively directing visuals for music videos later on in life. Dot explains that he played sports, basketball specifically, but he was never the typical high school student, because he didn't go to parties and hang out much with friends, because he was always either in the studio, his parents radio station or in his mother's garage doing creative things. He explains to us that how he got his name "M.Dot", was inspired by Jay-z's nickname "S.Dot Carter", but he put his own twist on the name "M. Dot" because the acronym stood for "Marcus Does Overtime'. Dot talks about how he was popular in school mainly because of being a creative and just a trendsetter, in the sense he would go to thrift stores and find pieces of clothing that he would cut up and/or sew onto peoples clothing or sneakers for extra money as a side hustle. We transition our conversation to how he later befriended 2 time NBA Champion and Los Angeles Laker, Jordan Farmar. Dot tells us how it was such a inspiration and wild experience being around Jordan and the Championship Lakers, as well as being apart of the Laker parade twice. Dot goes on to explain how that experience helped turn his hustle up and broaden his understanding of an extravagant lifestyle. A lifestyle in which he made his mind up that he wanted for himself, through his own talent, dedication, and hard work. Like usual, our listeners are definitely in for a treat, and like alway this is one you do not want to miss! So sit back and enjoy the crazy world of The Tune’d In Podcast. Yay! Yay!

The TUNE'd IN PODCAST EP. 72 "THE FIRST CITY BOYZ" (FT TT & PIERRE AKA THE FREAKY BOIZ)
Welcome to Dussé and Backwoods, The Real Negus Roundtable. I'm your host TUNDEEEEEE!! Aka Chocolate Papí aka TunGotJokes Twitter/IG/TikTok: @Tungotjokes Special Guests: @TT_Got_it & @PrinceCharmingP On this episode Tun sits down with the Emmy Award winning dynamic rap duo and legendary products of the west side of Chicago, The Freaky Boiz. We first start off our conversation talking about what it was like for these two growing up on the westside of Chicago. Even though they went to revel schools where violence and gang activity was constantly around them, they found a way to build a bond and become close friends at an early age in life. Due to their upbringing being so rough, they stuck together through their love for entertainment, as they both were apart of a local dance group in Chicago. Although faced with several trials and tribulations because of the harsh environment and extreme circumstances they had to over come, the both of them ended up going to college and attending Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. At SIUC, is where their lives changed forever because they were one of the first internet sensations to go viral due to their famous impromptu freestyle that they did in their dorms and uploaded to YouTube which made them overnight local and national celebrities. Not only did their freestyle catch a lot of notoriety, but they set the path and opened the door as the first male rap duo who were openly representing the LGBTQIA community. Because of their new and unique rapping styles and raunchy lyrics about their lives and experiences as openly gay black males, they developed a celebrity status which eventually got them to appear of the nationally syndicated radio show, "The Breakfast Club". We later go on to discuss on them catching fame early as young college students, that allowed them to gain a large following which later contributed to them moving out to Los Angeles to further advance themselves in their rap careers. We discuss how them coming out to Los Angeles, right after college allowed them to experience a multitude of adult life trials and tribulations which gave them the understanding of what their true calling and purpose was in life outside of just being entertainers. And that calling and purpose eventually leading one of them to become and Emmy Award Winner as well as a Guinness Book Record holder and the other to develop a love and passion of being a school teacher as well as an entrepreneur. Like usual, our listeners are definitely in for a treat like always, this is one you do not want to miss! So sit back and enjoy the crazy world of Dussé and Backwoods. Yay! Yay!
