The idea of states rights is rarely discussed in mainstream circles. In fact, it is shrouded in ignorance and, like anything (or anyone) who threatens the status quo, it is ruthlessly attacked and maligned. When the idea does comes up, what we usually get are ill-informed references to the “Civil War” and ignorant barks about racism and secession! Let this episode be a warning!
