Focus Text: Colossians 3:1-5 NKJV

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which   are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind   on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is   hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also   will appear with Him in glory. Therefore put to death your members which are   on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and   covetousness, which is idolatry.

Devotional Thought: THE APETITE OF LUST

Here is one of the most dangerous and infectious corruptions many of us struggle with in our hearts. This is a desire that needs to be tamed and controlled from the time of entering puberty. The challenge is, it is over emphasized in our society, and has its influences in everything, from clothes, shows, to food; and many of us were introduced to it well before our proper time. This sin, and desire of the flesh, in which we speak of to empty out, is the appetite for lust.
