Ever wondered what happens in your first therapy appointment? Are you going to your first therapy appointment in the near future? I made this video to help ease any anxiety you may be feeling about starting therapy and understanding what to expect in your first counseling appointment! The hardest step can be reaching out to someone for help, so be proud of yourself for making that first appointment. Thinking about going to therapy or counseling (the terms are interchangeable!)? Watch as I break down the most commonly held events that happen and talk about what happens in that very first therapy appointment. I'm a licensed counselor and am here to explain what I do personally, plus hopefully encourage you to make that first appointment if you've been curious about what that first appointment is like!
