In this episode, I interview Winston Tay, Clinical Director and Founder of Charis Lifeworks in Singapore. From Academic struggles, to his career in the Police Special Forces, dealing with terrorist threats, hostage situations and situations where he might never return home again, he shares his life story and what makes him happy.
Winston is currently the Clinical Director, Consultant & Psychotherapist with Charis Lifeworks. He is also a registered member with Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) & American Counselling Association (ACA). He graduated with a Masters in Social Science (Professional Counselling) with Distinction from Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Health from The University of Bath (UK). Winston is also a certified Grief Recovery Specialist (USA) & MBTI Administrator. Winston is also a Bowen Therapy practitioner because he believes in a holistic approach to treating the individual and he incorporates this body work into his therapy.
He lectures with various private Universities in SG and government organizations. He has also been invited to countries is ASEAN to give lectures and talks on Counselling and Mental Health.
In 2017, Winston was appointed a Mental Health Consultant with the United Nations (UNFPA Bangladesh).
