The Third Beer is a regular Podcast hosted by Psychologist Chris Dickson and Brett McCallum. Each week they invite a special guest into the studio to talk about men’s health, mental health and general wellbeing whilst sharing a few beers. The focus is on those subjects that blokes find it hard to talk about. Brett has already shared a year-long mental health journey with the help of Chris, and although he is still a work-in-progress, Brett has seen himself become a better human being. While the chat with each week’s special guest will take place in a very informal setting and with an informal style, the conversation and topics are taken 100% seriously. Lets break down personal and world issues, one beer at a time.

The Third Beer Episode 18 Tiah Goldstein
We’ve asked Tiah Goldstein to join Chris Dickson and I on the podcast with a loose theme around manifestation. Tiah Goldstein is founder of Interwoven, an accelerator focused on high impact startups. Tiah’s skills are too long to mention but one her anchors is community economic development and organisational change, not to mention she’s lived and worked in many cultures. Do you have a talisman to help you be the best person you want to be? The chat moves around the concept of whether manifesting is good, bad or even real. There’s debate around the power of intention and how this differs greatly between Eastern philosophies like Buddhism and mainstream Western self-help beliefs that are focused on ‘acting’ rather than ‘being’. Is mainstream self-help going about it the right way? We are not experts in these topics but we three tackle them from our unique perspectives, and so any listener can get their head around ways we use our mind to create our reality. Or do we? It’s time for The Third Beer.
