
Open-Source software is a gift from heaven for programmers. Yet the gift often comes in a legal wrapping with the word “License” written on it. Some of those open-source licenses are time-based, some perpetual, some restrictive, others not. Some work well together and some are like fire and ice. To make matters worse: Sometimes there seems to be no license at all or a license previously granted for a limited time cannot be renewed. In this video, Gregor, an experienced Tech CTO, and Arne, a veteran Techlawyer, look into some of the pitfalls of license issues and what can be done about them.
