I started my podcast as a way to create a safe space for women and girls specifically women of color to talk amongst each other. As someone who is a Nigerian American teen in America I wanted to create a space where women can talk about issues that affect us in life as women/girls and raising awareness and education to things that you might come across at some point in your life. This is a crazy world that is just getting crazier, and navigating through as a women at times may seem hard or even scary. Educating women and girls is something that is important to me, and raising awareness to issues specific to women that you might not see talked about on main stream. personally in my opinion, nowadays when we do talk about women in main stream, media, a lot of our issues, and just very being as simplified and water down but being a woman or a girl is a lot more complex. It is not only a physical reality, but it is an emotional, mental, economic, environmental and it is in someways a biological reality that we go through. I continue to strive for women and for the rights of all women to live as individuals and I will continue to educate us as women in order to empower us, and create further liberation of women globally. Hey guys!! On today’s episode of my podcast I wanted to talk about birth control and emergency contraceptives. Even today in 2023 birth control and contraceptives are still a very politicized topic when it should be realized as simply something apart of women’s health. There are many different methods to help us women and girls through our periods and even practice safe sex and whatever you as an individual decide to do it is your body, so it is your choice. Tune in for more!!
