General Pandey is one of the most respected officers of the Indian Army. Commissioned in 1985, he went on to command the XV Corps, also known as the Chinar Corps, in Srinagar — at the heart of India’s counter-insurgency efforts. Over the course of his career, he served in some of the most critical operational areas — Kashmir, Siachen, and Ladakh — and was honored with the PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, and VSM for his distinguished service to the nation.
