Today we're going to take a couple extra minutes of stillness to meditate. Of course you can always head over to the podcast page and pick one of the other meditations that were meaningful to you if you'd prefer. Remember that you are welcome here and there's no pressure, no obligation, just an invitation. Today's meditation brings us back to our breath. This seems to be the most foundational way for me to bring a little quiet into any part of my day, because I can always take a moment to pay attention to my breath, no matter where I am. I love the connection that the scripture makes with breath and life and the Spirit of God. When I can imagine my own breath as God's, giving me life, it moves me to such gratitude and love for the God who created me and sustains me and is as close to me as my breath. So make a little space in your schedule (just about twelve minutes this time), find a quiet spot, and let's get started.
