To catch up with the latest trends in the free-floating principle of carsharing, Cédric talked to a CEO at Catch A Car, René Maeder. In addition to the story about his latest venture, he also shares what’s so important about failure and how to overcome it.

René Maeder has very rich experience in entrepreneurship and innovation. He graduated in Computer Science at EPFL in Lausanne and has been living in Zurich for the past 20 years.

Before he joined Catch a Car, Maeder was Managing Director at Xing Switzerland for two years. He also opened Job Scout platform and was Head of Venturing at Ringier Digital. In this interview, Maeder confirms that all of his previous experience has helped him up until today in bringing Catch a Car to success. Don’t miss this episode!

Catch A Car is a carsharing service that was first offered 4 years ago in Basel. With the help of Catch A Car app you can locate the nearest car, pick it up and drive as far as you need. What’s most interesting is, instead of bringing the used car back, you can leave it at your final destination, no matter where it is. At the moment, they have a total of 250 cars in Geneva and Basel being used by more than 10.000 members so far.
