Insights from Ken:
What’s a must-read for impact entrepreneurs?
What’s the single-most important trait for entrepreneurs?
The first one is the most important, which is the test of joy. If you don’t love what you do, you shouldn’t be an entrepreneur. If you’re becoming an entrepreneur to make money, it’s going to be draining. You have to love what you do.
Who’s the most interesting person you’ve ever met?
Norman Vincent Peale
What are you better at than anyone else?
Working with other people. I think it’s one of the reasons I’m excited about servant leadership in action. I’m not competitive, I want to build other people up.
What idea or belief do very few people agree with you about?
We need to push people on positive environments and catching people doing things right and accentuating the positive.
What’s the best business advice you’ve ever received?
When you’re thinking about starting your own business, think about these four things. 1) Sales have to exceed expenses, 2) Collect your bills, 3) Take care of your customers, 4) Take care of your people. Those are really good things for entrepreneurs to remember. If you do that, you’re gonna probably be successful.
