I think it's been a weird summer for a lot of people, myself included: strange weather patterns, long periods of rain, weird moments of unseasonal cold juxtaposed with record-setting temperatures a couple weeks later. I put together a bunch of tunes I've been enjoying these last few months, not necessarily all stuff I'd play out, but to try and paint a picture of the strange and unique summer it's been. The early parts of the set begin with a more relaxed vibe, a drive to the beach or the mountains, a carefree weekend away from the city; a soundtrack for the ride. It brings us to some interesting and fun places once we get to where we're going. Suddenly around the 40-minute mark, a sunrise. The night has come and all of the mystery that comes with it. Around the 90-minute mark, our night has been brought to a close, and bring on the sunrise. We made it in one piece, but as the universe is continually unfolding, we're not the same person we were when the day started. Enjoy the ride...
