Damian Master (A Pregnant Light, Colloquial Sound Recordings) dropped by to confess his love for the most underrated, savage band in rock & roll and post-hardcore: the mighty Planes Mistaken For Stars. I asked Damian to select his most beloved tracks from each of the major PMFS releases. We covered everything from the first 10’’ to their 2016 comeback record, Prey. In our discussion, we get into everything from PMFS’s influence on A Pregnant Light, Gared’s inimitable voice and lyrics, and the evolution of the band from “planesmistakenforstars” to just “Planes”. This one’s a real gem in The Sonic Cloth canon as Damian’s got stories for days and lets em rip.
